About

First, people always ask what started my interests in psoriasis. I give this credit to my mentor, Gerald Krueger, M.D. at the University of Utah. He is a man dedicated to the treatment and the cure of psoriasis and I hope to acquire even a fraction of the knowledge he has. I learned from him that psoriasis is a disease that is often under treated and many who have it suffer in silence. As a doctor, I find it extremely rewarding in seeing a patient of mine enjoy the things we take for granted like wearing short during the summer.

Now a little about me.

Clive Liu, M.D.

I am a board certified dermatologist specializing in all disorders of the skin with primary clinical and research interests in psoriasis, eczema, and skin cancer.

I was born in Los Angeles, California and grew up in the happiest place on earth in Anaheim. I
attending the University of California at Berkeley and graduated with a degree in of all things,
economics. I earned my Doctorate of Medicine from the New York University School of Medicine in 1998. Next, I moved to the Big Easy and completed an internship in internal medicine at the Tulane University. This was followed by a fellowship in psoriasis at the University of California, San Francisco and culminated with a dermatology residency at the University of Utah. After residency, I joined the faculty at the University of Utah performing further research into gene expression in psoriasis.

Currently, I am a member of the adjunct faculty at the University of Washington with an appointment at the Veteran Affairs medical center. I continue to teach and perform clinical research.

Since joining the staff at Bellevue dermatology, my goals are to establish an acclaimed center for the research and treatment of psoriasis and other inflammatory skin condition.
On a less serious note, my main joy in life is my wife of 10 years and the traveling that we do
together. I still think I’m a child at heart and while I look like a high school student, I hitting the big 4-0 soon.
